About the programme
The European sustainability directive has now been implemented into Dutch legislation. As part of its implementation, it has been determined that only auditors are authorised to sign ESG assurance statements. With the Sustainability Auditing programme, you will acquire the knowledge and practical skills to understand and apply ESG principles. The programme’s curriculum covers a wide range of ESG-related topics. It begins with the fundamentals of ESG, followed by an in-depth exploration of the interconnections between environmental, social and governance aspects. Subsequent courses focus on reporting requirements, internal auditing and external assurance.
The curriculum
In the first year of the programme, the focus is on auditing. You will learn about management information systems and administrative organisation, as well as data science, risk and compliance. The second year focuses on ESG, with an emphasis on developing the knowledge and practical skills necessary to contribute to sustainable development and auditing. You will also begin your graduation project in this year.

Groepssamenstelling
We houden onze klassen klein en persoonlijk, waardoor je volop gelegenheid hebt om vragen te stellen. Ook is er veel ruimte voor groepsdiscussies en werk je samen aan auditcases. Je leert dus veel van je medestudenten en hun specifieke vakgebied. Bovendien volg je in het eerste jaar colleges samen met studenten van de MSc of Internal Auditing en de MSc of Sustainability Auditing.
